World Down Syndrome Day

Thursday 21st March was World Down Syndrome Day and we celebrated this special day in school by wearing odd socks.

It's especially important for our school to mark this day because we currently have two wonderful members of our learning community who have Down Syndrome and who contribute so much to our school.

This year, the global theme is “Leave no one behind”

Panther Class had a fantastic day creating odd socks for World Down Syndrome Awareness day.  We loved hearing about 'Alexandra's Story' and learning about her life.

You can see this film here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p011n094

We hope you like our giant sock!
